I have not talked about the Ultimate Snowboard/Wakeboard training facility, I believe the Midwest needs, for awhile. The Ultimate Training Facility is probably going to have a different name and it is also going to have many different training tools. Two of the of the tools that will be incorporated into the facility are trampolines and foam pits. A friend of mine just sent me the link to an interesting company that uses this idea for different reasons other than snowboarding. Check’em out!
Jump Sky High, maybe some of you have been there, maybe not. All I know is that they have taken trampolines and foam pits to the max. How many different tricks do you think you could do on the snow if you had endless attempts at a trick into a foam pit. From the trampoline, to the foam pit, to the snow; you will be able to take new tricks to the hill and stomp them on a daily basis. How is that for safety and an reduction in insurance bills? Add a coach to the mix and you will be set up to Board the Midwest All Day, Everyday, in style and with complete safety.
Lake Cumberland is known for many different reasons. Our crew knows this lake for some of the best wakeboard territory available and for fun in the sun. We had three days in crazy hot weather, and spent nearly every hour on the boat wakeboarding. Lake Cumberland pumped us up so much that there is a very good chance we will take another wakeboard trip there in 2011. We captured a lot of our trip on tape, so sit back and enjoy the video I put together of our crew riding on Lake Cumberland.

Rain comes and goes, water freezes and thaws, Placid Wake Park meets Marhar Snowboards, and Boarding the Midwest All Day, Everyday slowly becomes a reality. We met up with Josh (owner of Marhar Snowboards) this past weekend at Placid Wake Park, which is located just outside of Grand Rapids, MI. Placid is set up with System 2.0 which is one of the newest cable systems on the market, and it is also the one thing that allowed all of us to wakeboard until our arms were about to fall off. Enjoy a few pics of our day! If you snowboard and want to learn how to wakeboard, find the nearest cable park and go there. You won’t regret it!

At a recent wakeboard event I had the chance to stop by the Hylerlite tent, and to my surprise, I ended up walking into a tent that is revolutionizing the wakeboard industry. As I walked in, what I instantly saw was a whole new binding system that is like nothing else. The boots are separate from the binders, and the binders are tweaked to fit the wakeboarding lifestyle. I believe so much is going to come from this, and I can’t wait to get this system on my feet to demo. This new system has already hit the streets and I can’t wait to hear more about it.
