Early summer in 2010, I had the chance drive to Grand Rapids and hang out with Nate and Josh at the Marhar Headquarters. They gave us a tour around the shop and then we basically went to work. It was great, and after months of not getting the interview footage together. I finally got it done and am pumped to show you more of what Marhar Snowboard Company is about.
Long Overdue Interview
In a week, I am going to hook up with the Marhar crew at Test Fest to try out their boards and help them for a few days. If you are at test fest, make sure to stop by, say hi, and take a look at some Marhar Snowboards. It will be interesting to see what they have up their sleeve for next year! Otherwise get yourself a Marhar and Board the Midwest All Day, Everyday.
Rain comes and goes, water freezes and thaws, Placid Wake Park meets Marhar Snowboards, and Boarding the Midwest All Day, Everyday slowly becomes a reality. We met up with Josh (owner of Marhar Snowboards) this past weekend at Placid Wake Park, which is located just outside of Grand Rapids, MI. Placid is set up with System 2.0 which is one of the newest cable systems on the market, and it is also the one thing that allowed all of us to wakeboard until our arms were about to fall off. Enjoy a few pics of our day! If you snowboard and want to learn how to wakeboard, find the nearest cable park and go there. You won’t regret it!

Congratulations to Jack H. for answering last weeks blog about Michigan Snowboard Companies. Because he was the smartest and fastest out of the group, he is taking home a brand new Dragon Snowboard Beanie. I hope it keeps your head warm, and thank you for reading jonathantollefson.com.
Two Michigan Snowboard Companies
Marhar Snowboard Co. located on the west coast of Michigan, started a couple of years ago, and is bringing a whole new aspect to riding. These guys are innovative and are building boards with original shapes that have the potential to revolutionize the snowboard industry. Their boards are made with killer materials which I am going to keep secret. If you are interested in a sweet ride, look’em up at www.marharsnowboards.com.
Epix Snowboard Company is located on the eastern coast of Michigan, and has been on the map since early 2000. They design boards that I have seen rode in competitions around the state, and I have recently seen posts of them adding more presses to their shop. From graphics to board construction, Epix will build a board that fits you. Looking for a killer 2010/2011 board to add to your quiver be sure to check Epix out at www.epixsnowboards.com.
In 2010 a new snowboarding manufacture has hit the streets. Marhar Snowboards opened their doors earlier this year and they are ready to get their name out there. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Josh and Nate, who are the owners of Marhar, at the The BOB Rail Jam that went down in Grand Rapids, MI. Through new ideas and creative thinking, these boys have came up with a way to make snowboards green, innovative, and exciting. Take a look at the interview below to get a better understanding of what Marhar has to offer.
I also have to say that after roaming the streets of the snowboarding, wakeboarding, and wakesurfing industries, Nate and Josh put off a great first impression, and I am pumped to see how these guys will push the sport of snowboarding and the innovation of boards.
