To snowboard during the summer in the Midwest is nearly impossible. UNTIL TODAY! I just found something I never knew existed. Check it out! Located in Ohio is the Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp. They have taken snowboarding, swimming, and summer and made a combo out of all three. This pumps up my tires. Ohio Dreams has a water ramp that allows you to snowboard down the hill turning and carving like you would on the snow. To end your run, the water ramp turns into three jumps which all lead right into a giant water oasis. At this point you can decide to take laps in the pool, or you could take your snowboard off and walk back up to the top where you can take another chance at landing that Backside Rodeo 5. Your choice.

There is only one issue I see with Ohio Dreams. Wet Equipment. This is easily solved with old equipment. Grab your old gear, or steal your buddies boots because everyone including myself needs to get out and try this. Click on the picture above to check out more of what is going on at the Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp.

Honestly this makes so much sense. You can practice any trick you would like to stomp next winter. This takes safety to the next level and this is a great way to train everyone who wants to hit a jump on a snowboard next winter. Midwest riders?!?! Are you in?

The BigAirBag has taken snowboarding by storm and is one of the best ways to practice snowboard tricks. This new concept is spreading and start looking for a resort with the BigAirBag near you. You have to test it out and perfect that trick you have always wanted to try.

Snowboarding has evolved into a sport of progression, 1440′s, double corks, and now triple corks. Because of the progression, helmets are not enough to keep us safe. Recently we have seen this scenario play out with pro rider Kevin Pearce who was injured in a life threatening snowboard accident while practicing for the Olympics. As snowboarders are always pushing the envelope and trying to take this sport to the next level, we are going to have to come up with a more creative way to practice new tricks. Lucky for all of us, a few creative snowboarders came up with the BigAirBag.

TheBigAir bag is exactly what it sounds like. It is a huge bag that is filled with air that can be put basically anywhere to practice tricks. Instead of trying to find waist high powder, or taking your chances with trying a new trick for the first time off of a standard jump, you can now perfect your trick before you take it to the slopes using the BigAirBag. This option is going to change the sport of snowboarding and it adds a level of safety that will benefit everyone in the snowboarding industry. Check out the video below to see what I am talking about.

My personal thoughts are that every resort in the US who is trying to produce professional snowboarders at their facility should have a BigAirBag. The bag is safe, easy to set up, and probably pretty expensive. However, I think it is worth every penny and will bring more people to your resort which is the ultimate goal anyway. The bag has also been added to my running list of attractions that will bring you to my dreamy Ultimate Action Sports training facility. It’s going to happen, and the BigAirBag will be a part of it.

If you enjoy wakeboarding, snowboarding, and action sports. You have to check out what the people over at The Wake Park Project are doing to take these sports the next level. With a new cable system on the market named Sesitec System 2.0, you are now able to ride just about anywhere you want. As of now System 2.0 is geared towards wakeboarding; however, I see a huge future for using this system on the snow. If you ask me, I would combine trampolines, foam pits, Snowflex, Flowrider, and the new System 2.0 to create an Ultimate Training Facility. With the ability to set up System 2.0 at lighting speeds and stretch it up to 700 feet. What could you do with it? Anything! Backyard parks and world cable park tours are already being set up today. I believe we have just hit the ground running with this system, and I can’t wait to be a part of what will happen next. To check out this product, click the snapshot of System 2.0 below. Welcome to the future!!
